One of our units in Mumbai

Why we started?

The pandemic had affected India severely specially the garment industry that was on the verge of collapse. The labourers that worked in small and medium units suffered from loss of livelihoods due to unavailability of work and some of them weren't even paid for the work done. The pandemic had caused small businesses to shut down and incur huge losses. Majority of the garment units had to be forced shut down. These units belonged to vendors who came from poor backgrounds, who had worked hard all their lives to build a business that supported their families.

These units had capabilities of manufacturing garments in small batches that big factories cannot do profitably. Being aware of decade old problem of higher MOQs that discourages new designers to start-up, we decided to bridge the gap between the manufacturers and designers.

where we at?

We adopted few of the affected units in Mumbai and provided them with continuous work. Trained them to work in methods that are sustainable for the environment and resource efficient.

We believe in paying fair and ethical wages  to our labourers as that is s strong pillar of our core values.

This enormously helped the designers who are starting their new labels. It is very difficult for upcoming designers to start their brand when the MOQs are high as the investment is high. We assist the new designers to start their label from scratch from sourcing fabrics to packaging.
